A 17 year old teenager has been charged with murdering three girls at a Taylor Swift-themed holiday club in the English town of Southport on Monday, Merseyside Police in northwest England said Thursday.
The young man, whose name cannot be revealed because he is a minor, appears this Thursday before Liverpool Magistrates’ Court, where he will be formally presented with the charges, which also include 10 of attempted murder of other minors.
The girls Baby King, 6 years old; Elsie Dot Stancombe, of 7, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, 9, died after being seriously injured in the attack on Monday while the minors were participating in a music Workshop on the occasion of the summer holidays.
Eight other children and two adults were injured, Some of them are in critical condition and remain hospitalized.
Merseyside Police Chief Constable Serena Kennedy, The 17-year-old boy has been charged with the murders of Bebe, Elsie Dot and Alice, 10 counts of attempted murder and possession of a knife following the tragic incident in Southport on Monday.
“The 17-year-old cannot be identified for legal reasons as he is under 18. He has been remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday 1 August,” he added.

The young man, Born in Wales to Rwandan parents, He lived in the village of Banks, just outside Southport.
Following this case, acts of violence instigated by far-right supporters broke out in Southport and London, as well as in other English towns.
In London, more than 100 people were arrested following scuffles with officers and when several of them tried to break through the police cordon to reach Parliament.
Following the protests, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is scheduled to hold a meeting with representatives of various police forces today to discuss the situation.
