The court investigating the complaint by actress Elisa Mouliaá against former politician Íñigo Errejón for an alleged sexual assault has summoned both to testify in the coming days. The complainant will be the first to appear this Thursday, November 7, to ratify her accusations and Sumar’s former spokesperson will appear as a defendant on November 12. These are the first steps taken by the judge after verifying that Errejón is not a member of Congress and that, therefore, he is not qualified before the Supreme Court.
The actress and communicator Elisa Mouliaá filed a complaint at the police station against Errejón, accusing the then deputy of having perpetrated a sexual assault against her in September 2021 after meeting at a party. According to her complaint, which must now also be ratified in court, the politician closed the door of the room where they were and perpetrated the attack, taking out his penis in front of her and touching her without her consent.
Iñigo Errejón abandoned all his political positions, including his membership as a deputy, after the publication of testimonies by journalist Cristina Fallarás that pointed to him as the author of sexist attitudes and attacks towards several women. As reported by Sumar and Más Madrid, Errejón himself acknowledged at least part of these accusations. In parallel, the party has accused the Madrid deputy Loreto Arenillas of having acted behind the party’s back when she learned of one of these attacks in Castellón, something that Arenillas herself has denied.
Mouliaá made his case public on the social network The magistrate’s first step was to ask Congress for certification that Errejón was no longer a deputy and that, therefore, he did not have to be investigated by the Supreme Court. Now the first to appear will be Mouliaá herself to ratify and explain her complaint of sexual assault against the former politician.
Various accusations against Errejón
The first testimony with accusations of sexist attitudes against Errejón was published by journalist Cristina Fallarás on her Instagram account. In subsequent days, more women shared their experiences with the politician: “Everything was about his desire to dominate,” a woman who had a relationship with him for more than a year told this newspaper.

Political leaders close to the former parliamentarian have denied having knowledge of the sexist attitudes that several women are now denouncing and are investigating, for now, a court in Plaza de Castilla. “If I had known that Errejón was an alleged sexual offender, I would not have been a deputy or spokesperson,” said Yolanda Díaz. Minister Mónica García stated that if they had known that “he was an aggressor,” their measure would not have been to recommend “professional help” but rather “to go directly to a police station.”
