The director of a hospital affirms that the victim is a disabled person who was shot several times in the chest
Dec. 13 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Israeli Army killed a Palestinian this Friday during an operation carried out in the West Bank town of Bait Aua, located west of Hebron and near the separation fence, according to the Palestinian authorities.
The Ministry of Health linked to the Palestinian Authority has indicated in a brief message published on its Telegram account that the man, identified as Muhamad Ahmad Suleiman Masalma, 32, has died after being shot by “occupation forces.”
The director of the Dura Public Hospital, Muhamad Rabi, has indicated that the man, whom he has described as a person with a disability, has been transferred in serious condition to the emergency department after being shot several times in the chest, before adding that he has died shortly after.
Local sources cited by the Palestinian news agency WAFA have stated that Israeli troops launched an incursion early in the day in Bait Aua, opening fire on several residents, shots that would have hit Masalma.
The Israeli Army, which has not yet commented on these allegations, has stated that during the last week it has arrested “approximately 50 wanted people” and has destroyed explosives during its operations in the West Bank.
Israeli Army operations and attacks by Israeli settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem have left more than 800 Palestinians dead since these types of actions have increased since October 7, 2023, when Hamas and other Palestinian factions launched a assault that left nearly 1,200 dead and about 250 hostages. Authorities in the Gaza Strip have since counted nearly 44,900 deaths from the subsequent Israeli offensive.
