The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a series of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip on Thursday night in retaliation for recent launches from southern Lebanon and amid an escalation of tensions in the mosque. from Al Aqsa, in Jerusalem.
Through its Twitter account, the IDF has confirmed that the attacks have reached a series of tunnels that start from the city of Beit Hanoun and the area of Jan Yunis, clarifying that the tunnels “did not cross Israeli territory nor did they represent a threat to the residents of Israel.

The Israeli operation comes hours after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to “strike back against his enemies.”
