MADRID 26 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Israeli Army has abandoned the positions it maintained in the Kamal Adwan Hospital, in northern Gaza, one of the epicenters of a major operation in the entire northern area of the enclave to eliminate elements of the Palestinian Hamas militias and which has unleashed condemnation from part of the international community for its extreme violence towards the civilian population.

Local medical sources told the official Palestinian news agency Wafa on Saturday that the military left the hospital less than 24 hours after it was raided on Friday — Hamas authorities say all male staff have been detained. and the World Health Organization has not spoken to the medical center for hours — leaving behind several burned cars and homes in the vicinity, as well as 600 people inside the facilities, most of them patients.

The same sources accuse the Israeli military of destroying the walls of the hospital and the tents of the displaced in and around the center. The main oxygen station inside the hospital is not working due to Israeli attacks.

According to Gazan authorities, more than 820 Palestinians have died in northern Gaza since the beginning of the Israeli operation in the area 22 days ago, for a total of almost 43,000 deaths in the entire enclave since the outbreak of the war between Israel and Hamas, on October 7, 2023.
