Intel has recently launched and after several delays the processors Intel Xeon Sapphire Rapids. But they also have in view the new emerald rapids which will coexist with these Sapphire Rapids due to their short release window between the two versions. Now Intel too has confirmed his roadmap for the next year 2024where he states that we will see the new Sierra Forest for the first half of next year and then we can see the Granite Rapids, dividing first time processors Xeon according to its performance or energy efficiency.
Thus, in 2024, we will see two ranges of Xeon processorsone dedicated to performance based on P-Cores or high performance cores and another in the energy efficiency that will include E-cores or high efficiency cores. It has also announced that the Intel Xeon Sierra Forest will arrive with configurations of up to 144 cores and will be manufactured with a process Intel 3. The Intel Xeon Granite Rapids are already in Test phase, with samples for a few select clients who have reported very good results. These processors will work under the same Birch Stream platform that will be compatible with DDR5 memories up to 8,800 MHz.
By 2025, the Intel Xeon Clearwater Forest based on high-efficiency nuclei and that will be manufactured with a process Intel 18A. In addition, it has shown many tests and fifth-generation Intel Xeon processors.
