In a couple of days, and according to rumors, Intel will launch its new family of processors for desktop computers under the fifteenth generation. This is known as the Intel Arrow Lakeor also as they will be called commercially, Intel Core Ultra 200. we have seen some results of these processors, including the top of the range Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, remaining in top in single-core tests. But this reference does not perform as well in multi coreeven being on par with the Intel Core i9-14900K in games.
The manufacturer itself has confirmed this, and that is that the 24 cores along with 32 threads available in the Intel Core i9-14900K make themselves noticed compared to “only” 24 of this Core Ultra 9 285K. According to Intel's own slides, this new and upcoming top of the range surpasses the current i9-14900K in 4 games, although it remains on par in others. What the manufacturer wanted to demonstrate is that the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K can perform in a similar way to the current top of the range, but with a lower consumption up to 80W.
Intel has also compared this top of the range with competing processors, the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X and with the Ryzen 9 7950X. Regarding the first there is some games belowothers on par and in some it surpasses it, we can say that it is a tie, but with respect to the Ryzen 9 7950X3D this has been left behind in each of the technical tests that have been made.
It won't be long before, according to the rumors, Intel launches these new processorsand where we will surely be able to see more performance data compared to different solutions available on the market.
