Intel will launch its range of high-performance laptop processors at CES 2023 in January. One of the expected processors is the Intel Core i9-13900HX which, as we have seen, has been able to outperform last generation Intel Core i9-12900K desktop processor, in the single core test. Now too has leaked on Geekbench the Intel Core i9-13980HX for laptops, although the single-core score has been slightly lower in this more powerful model.

The multi-core test has been more even with a score that is also lower compared to the previous leak of 20,826 points compared to 20,943 obtained by the Core i9-13900HX. The Intel Core i9-13980HX features a equal configuration of 24 cores and 32 threadsdivided into 8 high-performance and 16 high-efficiency, the difference is that this more powerful processor will reach a maximum turbo speed of 200 MHz higherreaching up to 5.6GHz.

This lower score is probably due to it still needs some adjustments in order to get ahead of the Core i9-13900HX which has a 200 MHz slower turbo speed. As the release date of this new series approaches, we will surely know more information.
