The insurance sector says to analyze "for months" the needs of people who have overcome cancer

Unespa, the Spanish insurance employer, has advanced this Saturday that “for several months” they have been analyzing how to meet the protection needs of people who have overcome cancer and need insurance to contract a mortgage or other loan.

After the announcement made this Saturday by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, to immediately implement the right to be forgotten oncology, Unespa has stressed that the employers have established contact with the Administration and with the organizations of cancer patients to find “frameworks of collaboration that benefit people who have overcome cancer”.

This Saturday in Seville, the President of the Government held a meeting with associations fighting cancer, to which he conveyed the Executive’s commitment to immediately implement in the country, in order for it to be in force in June, the right to oncological forgetfulness.

To this end, it will modify Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, of November 16, which approves the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users and other complementary laws, and of the Insurance Contract Law .

Unespa recalled that the insurance sector is “sensitive” to the situation of people who have overcome cancer and need insurance to take out a mortgage or other loan.
