The Ibex 35 remains flat in the mid-session (+0.05%) and retains 11,600 integers

The Ibex 35 was trading practically flat in the mid-session, with a slight rise of 0.05%, which allowed it to retain the level of 11,600 integers.

Renta 4 analysts highlight two facts that may affect prices today: on the one hand, the authorization that US President Joe Biden could have given Ukraine to use long-range US missiles in Russia, on the other, the first appearance of the governor of the Bank of Japan after learning of Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential elections.

This appearance has not entailed any major surprises, since the central bank will maintain its normalization of rates based on the data that is published.

As for the rest of the week, experts highlight the publication on Friday of the preliminary PMIs for the month of November at a global level and the publication, tomorrow, Tuesday, of the data on negotiated salaries in the eurozone for the third quarter. In addition, on Wednesday the CPI data in the United Kingdom for October will be released and on Friday it will be the turn of Japan’s inflation for November.

On the business front, markets will be attentive to the presentation of results from Walmart on Tuesday, Nvidia and Target on Wednesday. Furthermore, in Spain the strategic plans of Endesa and CaixaBank will be presented this week tomorrow, Tuesday.

In fact, Enel – parent company of Endesa – has already announced that it foresees gross investments of 43,000 million euros for the period 2025-2027, which represents 20% more than the almost 36,000 million euros in its previous plan 2024-2026.

In this context, the Ibex 35 was trading at 11,641.7 integers, with Bankinter (+2.05%), Acciona Energía (+1.75%), Repsol (+1.54%), Unicaja (+1.38 %), Rovi (+1.29%) and Telefónica (+1.02%) as the biggest increases. On the other hand, the largest decreases were those of Grifols (-3.42%), Solaria (-1.67%), Puig (-1.44%), Merlin (-0.96%), Redeia (- 0.96%) and Ferrovial (-0.82%).

The main European stock markets were trading with slight increases, highlighting the 0.30% increase in London. Paris rose 0.10% in the middle section of trading, while Frankfurt remained flat (+0.01%). Only Milan lost more than 1%.

On the other hand, the price of a barrel of Brent quality oil, a reference for the Old Continent, stood at 71.62 dollars, 0.82% more, while Texas rose 0.70%, to 67. 49 dollars.

In the foreign exchange market, the price of the euro against the dollar stood at 1.0545 ‘greenbacks’, while in the debt market, the interest required on the 10-year bond rose to 3.090%, with the premium risk in the 70 points.
