The Ibex 35 has fallen 0.91% in this Tuesday’s session, which has led it to lose the level of 11,800 integers, weighed down by Acerinox and Banco Santander, which presented their third quarter results today.
On the one hand, Santander has reported profits of 9,309 million euros in the first nine months of 2024, 14% more, while Acerinox earned 162 million euros, 53% less compared to profits of 348 million euros in the same period of 2023.
This has caused the largest declines to be those of Acerinox (-5.01%) and Santander (-3.01%), followed by Sacyr (-2.90%), Colonial (-2.63%), Solaria (-2.51%), Merlin (-2.51%) and Acciona (-2.51%).
On the other hand, Mapfre has been the bullish value of the session, with a rise of 4.91%, after reporting profits of 654 million euros until September, 39% more.
After Mapfre, the biggest increases have been those of Rovi (+2.69%), Unicaja (+0.74%), CaixaBank (+0.51%), Bankinter (+0.32%), ACS (+0 .14%), Ferrovial (+0.11%) and Telefónica (+0.09%).
The fall of the Ibex 35, which closed specifically at 11,795.3, stood out among the rest of the European indices, which also ended the session with losses, although more moderate.
Thus, London closed with a decrease of 0.80% and Paris, 0.61%. Frankfurt fell 0.27%, while Milan fell 0.26% today.
A barrel of Brent stood at $71.14, 0.39% less, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) fell to $67.15, 0.34% less.
In the debt market, the yield on the Spanish bond with a 10-year maturity was 3.032%, compared to the 2.981% recorded at the close of Monday. In this way, the risk premium against German debt stood at 69.3 basis points.
Regarding currencies, the euro depreciated 0.12% against the dollar in the mid-session, until trading at an exchange rate of 1.0799 ‘greenbacks’ for each unit of the community currency.
