The Ibex 35 falls 0.3% in the half session and settles at 8,840 points

The Ibex 35 has inverted its evolution towards the mid-session with respect to the opening, when it had opened upwards, so that after 12:00 noon it registered a price of 8,840.6 points, which represents a decrease of 0.34% with respect to to Monday.

The change occurs on a day in which the Spanish Treasury has placed more than 2,000 million in short-term debt at the highest interest rate for this type of reference in a decade.

It has also been revealed that the Chinese economy grew by 3% in 2022, which represents a slowdown compared to the increase of 8.1% observed in 2021, as a result of the impact of the measures implemented during the year to contain Covid-19 and of the global slowdown.

Although most of the selective values ​​of the Spanish financial markets were in ‘red’, the performance of Rovi stands out, with an increase of 2.38%, followed by Acerinox, with 1.28%, Acciona Energías Renovables, with a 0.85% and ArcelorMittal, with 0.63%. On the other hand, the largest drop in the session corresponded to Enagás (-1.57%), ahead of Bankinter (-1.44%), Merlin Properties (-1.39%) and Amadeus (-1.34% ).

Compared to the rest of the European markets, the German DAX fell 0.18%, while the French CAC 40 stood at -0.30% and the Italian FTSE MIB fell 0.53%. On its side, the Euro Stoxx 50 registered a fall of 0.31%, while the British FTSE 100 fell 0.20%.

Regarding raw materials, a barrel of Brent registered an increase of 0.83%, reaching 85.16 dollars, while West Texas Intermediate advanced 0.13%, reaching 79.95 dollars.

The euro cross against the dollar registered a flat variation, standing at 1.0818 euros for every dollar, while the risk premium for Spanish debt climbed to 100.1 basis points, from 98.9 integers in the which closed on Monday, with profitability at 3.169%.
