At the IFA 2022 we were able to test the curious Huawei Watch D in situ, a smartwatch that had an inflatable wristband system with which it was able to accurately measure blood pressure.
Now, a couple of years later, the second generation arrives, he Huawei Watch D2. This time, the company claims that it is capable of performing an “ambulatory” blood pressure measurement (although it is not registered nor can it be used for medical purposes).
The system is maintained inflatable strap, andThis time with an ultra-narrow format of just 25.6 mm³ in volume.
It has a screen 1.82-inch AMOLED with 480 x 480 pixels. It is compatible with the Huawei Health app and we can customize the dials, in addition to using different monitoring systems thanks to the Huawei TruSense sensor. For example, it is also capable of analyzing the heartbeat using electrocardiogramsand detect arrhythmias.
Other monitoring functions also include blood oxygen measurement, exercise, pulse sensor and stress or sleep.
Its dimensions are 48 x 48 x 13.3 mm and it weighs 40g without the strap, and it will be available with two strap sizes ranging from 130-160 mm to 161-210 mm. It has IP68 water and dust resistance, but you cannot go diving with it.
As for autonomy, it ranges from 6 days of typical use, to just 1 day if blood pressure measurement is used every 15 minutes.
Its price will be 399 euros.
