June 16 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Houthi militias have reported this Sunday of a new attack against ships in the Red Sea, specifically against a US Navy destroyer, an extreme that has not been confirmed for the moment.

“The missile forces and the naval forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces have carried out two military operations in the Red Sea. The first was against a US destroyer attacked with several ballistic missiles,” explained the Houthi military spokesman, Yahya Sari, in a statement published on Telegram.

The second target would be the ship ‘Captain Paris’, attacked with “several appropriate naval missiles” for “the failure of the company that owns it to comply with the prohibition of access to the ports of occupied Palestine.”

In a third operation, several Houthi drones have attacked the ship ‘Happy Condor’ in the Arabian Sea. “The company that owns it violated the ban on entering the ports of occupied Palestine,” Sari explained.

“The three operations have successfully achieved their objectives thanks to Allah,” highlighted the Houthi military spokesman, who warns that they will continue to attack and respond to the “American-British aggression” and in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The Houthis, who control the most populated areas of Yemen, have launched attacks against Israeli territory and against ships that they attribute some type of relationship with the country as a result of the offensive unleashed against Gaza after the attacks carried out on October 7 by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

Likewise, they have attacked American and British ships and other strategic assets in response to the bombings of these countries against Yemen in an intervention that Washington and London base on their desire to guarantee the safety of navigation in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean.
