Yemen’s Houthi rebels assured this Thursday that “there will be a response” after the United States attacks carried out this morning with strategic bombers against the group’s positions and arsenals in several areas of Yemen.
“We confirm that the United States’ aggression will not go unpunished,” they stated in a statement from the political office of the rebels, who have assured that “it will pay a high price for its aggression.”
His words come shortly after the United States reported an attack with B-2 bombers in an attempt to demonstrate the “strategic capabilities” of the North American country, which can “launch actions of this type at any time and place when necessary.” “.
The US Government has indicated that the target of these attacks were underground facilities belonging to the Houthis, whom they accuse of targeting civilians and attacking ships from third countries, mainly in areas of the Red Sea.
The Houthis, who have controlled the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, and other areas of the north and west of the country since 2015, have launched several attacks against Israeli territory and against ships with some type of Israeli connection as a result of the offensive launched against Gaza after the attacks carried out on October 7 by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas). Likewise, they have attacked American and British ships and drones in response to the bombing of these countries against Yemen.
