The GPD Win Max 2 with AMD CPU performs twice as much as the version with Intel

Coming soon GPD Win Max 2 console will be available which has been officially presented a few days ago. This console will count with two versions processor, a Intel Core i7-1260P and an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U. These two units have already been tested with a clear advantage for the AMD processor.

The model with an Intel Core i7-1260P processor has an integrated Intel Xe graphics with 96 CU, which has little to do against the AMD with RDNA 2 graphics of the Ryzen 7 6800U. Specifically up to twice the performance offered by the version with AMD CPU compared to Intel in terms of games.

For example, in Borderlands 3 it has been possible with a TDP of 30W to reach almost 94fps with the AMD version, while the Intel has remained just 55fps. In Cyberpunk, a demanding game, the AMD version has achieved an average of 54.8 FPS while the version with Intel has remained in something more than 16 with just one 15W consumption.

Although the Intel version also offers another advantage, if we opt for processes where multiple cores are used in some cases it offers better performance. But this is not the case with the GPD Win Max 2, which has been presented as a handheld game console where its use will mainly be destined for games and that the market is being flooded after the launch of the Valve Steam Deck.
