April 20 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Some 34,050 people have died in the Gaza Strip due to the military offensive launched by Israel in retaliation for the attacks of October 7, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health, which confirmed 37 new fatalities in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry, controlled by Hamas, has records, specifically, of 34,049 deaths and 76,901 injuries, although it warns that this is provisional data since there would still be victims under the rubble or lying outdoors in areas that are difficult to access.

The Israeli Army undertook this offensive after Hamas carried out unprecedented attacks that left 1,200 dead and 240 hostages. Despite international requests for a ceasefire, Benjamin Netanyahu's government is not considering stopping operations and is even considering a large-scale assault on the town of Rafah, located in southern Gaza and home to more than a million Palestinians. .
