The initiative presented by Karner contemplates certain benefits and more dedicated support for those pioneers who venture to return to their country voluntarily, although a list of forced deportations will also be drawn up that will be implemented when the “confusing” situation in Syria is clarified. after the fall of Al Assad.
According to the minister, this list will be headed by those who have been identified as criminals and those who are not willing to integrate or work in Austria, Parliament details in the minutes of the session. This project arises shortly after the Executive has put an end to the processing of asylum applications from Syrian citizens.
In addition to Austria, several European countries have announced in recent days their decision to suspend the processing of asylum requests by Syrians in light of the latest events in the country, where an offensive by rebels and jihadists has managed to overthrow the regime. of Al Assad in just over ten days.
