The Government grants more than 75 million in aid to entities to promote sectoral data spaces

The Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Service has published the resolution granting the call for aid aimed at the creation of sectoral data spaces, which provides aid for 78 innovative projects, with an investment of more than 75 million euros, which will mobilize almost 122 million euros adding the contributions of the beneficiaries.

These initiatives, distributed across key sectors such as health, agri-food and sustainable mobility, seek to boost productivity, competitiveness and efficiency through data sharing between manufacturers, researchers and infrastructure providers.

With these projects, strategic sectors will be able to extract value from data, promoting informed decision-making, technological innovation and resource optimization.

Of the total aid, 63% of the selected projects have been presented by private entities, which will receive 42% of the total allocated subsidy.

On the other hand, 37% of the projects have been promoted by public entities, which will receive 58% of the total amount.

However, this distribution reflects, the Department led by Óscar López has indicated, a strategic balance between public-private collaboration, guaranteeing that both companies and public institutions actively participate in promoting the data economy.

BY SECTORS

The productive sectors show a high interest in the data economy, which favors the growth of the digital industry and technological transformation in critical areas such as health, agri-food and sustainable mobility.

Of the 75.4 million granted, the health sector has received 31.9 million, with 20 initiatives funded; followed by agri-food, with 12.9 million and 16 initiatives; and, finally, mobility, with 14.5 million and 16 initiatives.
