A few days ago we saw some new Inno3D graphics cards that had a curious position of the power connectorthis connector is hidden in the downstairs of the graph. It seems that it is not the only design that has modified the “usual” position of the power connector, since we have seen a GIGABYTE, which has been released quietly, that has with the 12VHPWR connector hidden in the back of the card.
This GIGABYTE it is a whole GeForce RTX 4090 from the Windforce range which they have released as a second version. This new arrangement improves cable managementwhere it is usually placed on the front of the card, having to resort to forced postures and that tend to bend the cable with the consequent problem that this has generated. With the connector on the back it is easier to reach the connector with the cable and straight, without having to bend the cable near the connections.
This new model has not only improved the layout of the power connector, but also comes with some somewhat smaller dimensions than the original Windforce model. The new version has the same length, but has reduced its width to 13.6 cm and the thickness to 5.5 cm. The new GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4090 Windforce V2 is currently available alongside the original version.
