In the evening hours of this September 23, The motion for the first debate of the draft General Budget of the Nation for 2025 was filed.

Distribution of expenditure

The total amount proposed by the national government is equivalent to 29.4% of GDP and is distributed as follows: $327.9 billion (62.7% of the total) for operating expenses; $112.6 billion (21.5%) for debt service; and $82.5 billion (the remaining 15.8%) for investment expenses.

The spending sector to which more resources would be allocated would be the coverage of national public debtwith $109.8 billion, 19% more than the 2024 Budget.

Likewise, in terms of portfolios, Education will receive the most, with $79.2 billion. The Presidency would receive $1.7 billion, while the Treasury will receive $33.2 billion, Health $67 billion, Labor $23.4 billion and Mines and Energy $11.2 billion.
