The Prime Minister of France, Gabriel Attal, warned this Friday that the political program of the New Popular Front, the bloc of the main left-wing parties to participate together in the imminent legislative elections, is a “crusher of the middle class.”

As highlighted by Attal, a member of the Renaissance party of the French president, Emmanuel Macron, the electoral program of the left foresees an expenditure of 25,000 million euros in 2024 financed with a wealth tax and “a taxation of super profits”

“It is a crusher of the middle class, it is about tax increases for the middle class,” said the current French Prime Minister during a visit to Marseille within the framework of the electoral campaign for the legislative elections, scheduled for June 30. and July 7, according to BFMTV.

Macron announced the call for early elections on the same day that the far-right National Rally won a resounding victory in the European elections. At that time, the left-wing parties began a series of conversations to participate together in the elections in order to defeat the extreme right and ‘Macronism’.
