The president of the far-right National Rally party, Jordan Bardella, stated this Sunday that the leader of the conservative Republican party, Éric Ciotti, “will have a place” in the Government.
“Republicans will naturally have a place within [mi] government. Eric Ciotti himself, by the way,” he declared in an interview with ‘Le Journal du Dimanche’.
In his government there will also be “people from the National Rally, as well as from other political movements.” “There will also be personalities from civil society selected not only for their competence, seriousness and experience, but also for their political instinct,” he noted.
Furthermore, Bardella has announced his intention to transform the Overseas Ministry into a “state ministry.” “I believe that Overseas is not only an opportunity for all of France, but also a real opportunity. I hope that overseas (territories) will fully participate in this national recovery project that we want to launch,” he explained.
Bardella has defended the initiative due to the good results achieved by the National Group abroad. “The results we have obtained force us to do so,” he stressed.
