The file transfer service WeTransfer has announced a limitation for users of the free version, who will be able to make up to 10 transfers and share up to 3 GB of files per month.
The company has summarized in a document all the important changes introduced in your subscription plans during this month of December, when a restructuring of its service has been carried out, some of them related to the free modality.
WeTransfer has indicated on its website that it has increased the file size limit, so that files up to 3 GB in size can now be sent, that is, 1GB more than until now, when the capacity was 2 GB.
From now on, free users will also be able to make up to 10 transfers and share up to 3GB of files per month, in addition to enjoying a series of premium features that have been “unlocked”.
For example, unlimited file requests, portals or collaborative folders for working with clients, reviews, and password protection for each transfer have been added, plus charges for paid shipments have been waived.
Another new feature this month is the launch of a new plan called Starterwhich comes with the aforementioned premium features, a higher file size limit –up to 300GB in size– and also allows you to make up to 10 transfers in 30 days.
Finally, it has announced the merger of WeTransfer Premium and WeTransfer Pro into a single unlimited option, in addition to the fact that users of both plans will retain all the existing benefits.
WeTransfer has also indicated that all users who currently have a plan Pro, Plus, Distribute, Transfer or Collaborate They will be automatically migrated to the Ultimate plan at the time of your subscription renewal.
