CD Projekt RED has announced the release of the first expansion for cyberpunk 2077, which will arrive on new generation consoles and PC throughout 2023 under the name of phantom liberty.
The Polish development studio has released the news during one of its broadcasts on twitch, calls ‘Night City Wire’ and focused on his latest title published so far.
Phantom Liberty will be only available on new generation consolesPlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, as well as on PC and Google Stadia, throughout 2023. With it a new district will be added and a faction known as the New United States of America will appear.
CD Projekt RED has accompanied the announcement with the first trailer for this expansion, which anticipates the return of Johnny Silverhandthe character played by the actor Keanu Reeves.
CD Projekt RED has reported that patch 1.6 will be the last patch to hit the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the title. The studio has named this update ‘edgerunners’in reference to the anime of the same name that will arrive on Netflix on September 13 set in the game’s universe.
This 1.6 patch is now available for download and includes the minigame Roach Race inspired by thewitcher, which can be played both from the Cyberpunk 2077 arcades and on iOS and Android devices for free.
Among the novelties of this update, an improved photo mode and the deployment of new content inspired by the series of the streaming platform, such as missions, clothing and weapons, also stand out.
