The French far right is gaining ground and could win 37% of the vote in the first round of next Sunday’s legislative elections alongside his conservative allies, according to a poll published Friday, on the last day of the campaign.
That means two percentage points more than in the survey on the 21st, explains the OpinionWay polling institute. The survey released today was conducted on Wednesday and Thursday with a representative sample of 1,058 people.
In second position is the new Popular front, which brings together the left-wing parties, would reap a 28% of the votes, the same percentage that was attributed to him on Friday of last week.
The outgoing majority of the French president, Emmanuel Macronyou would have to settle for a twenty%which is one point less in almost a week.
The Republicans (LR)the traditional right-wing party in which there has been a split led by its president, Éric Ciotti, who has allied himself with Le Pen and Bardella, would be left with a 6%the same percentage as in the survey on the 21st.
OpinionWay does not make projections of seats in the second round, which will be held on July 7 and in which the National Assembly. The main question is whether the far right will achieve an absolute majority (at least 289 of the 577 deputies that are at stake), which is the condition that has been self-imposed to form a Government.
For the people surveyed, the most important issue of this express campaign, called after the setback that Macron suffered in the European elections on June 9, is purchasing power (66% mention it), followed by the increase in prices (52% ), social protection (49%), security (49%) and immigration (42%).
