The European Cyber Resilience Law has come into force this Tuesday, which seeks to ensure that all digital products, whether ‘hardware’ or ‘software’, have cybersecurity measures throughout their entire life cycle.
On March 12, the European Parliament approved the law that aims ensure the cybersecurity of products containing a digital componentthat is, they are connected to the Internet, throughout their life cycle.
It refers to all computer equipment and programs – ‘smartphones’, operating systems or ‘routers’, but also baby monitors, smart watches, firewalls, etc. -, which They must meet minimum cybersecurity requirements, proportional to the level of risk associated with each of them.
This Cyber Resilience Law (CRA) came into force this Tuesday, while the main obligations it introduces They will apply from December 11, 2027.
