It was always striking to see the American space shuttle transported on the back of an airplane, but in the case of this photograph it is also charismatic because the group appears flying over a Saturn V rocket, displayed in a horizontal position as a monument in a space center in the POT. The gigantic Saturn V was the rocket that took the astronauts of the Apollo program to the surface of the Moon. The photograph marks the end of the era of astronautics dominated by the manned trips to the Moon of the Apollo program and the beginning of the era of space flights carried out with the American space shuttles, the first of which to be fully operational, the Columbia, is the one that appears in the photograph.
