The dollar in Colombia continues to ‘stalk’ the 5,000 pesos, although, this Tuesday, October 25, it dropped from 4,950 pesos.
The currency opened at 4,990 pesos and its last price was 4,975.20

As for the average trading prices, the currency went through 4,982, 4,972.17 and 4,961.72 pesos. The latter, located 7.22 pesos below the Representative Market Rate (TRM), which is 4,968.94 pesos.
It was also traded on average at 4,945.13 pesos, 23.81 pesos below the TRM. And it closed the day at 4,948.78 pesos, 20.16 pesos less than the TRM.
The maximum price of the currency on the day was 4,990 pesos and the minimum, 4,916 pesos.

The dollar has been very close to 5,000 pesos in recent days, especially on Monday 24, when the maximum price it had intraday was 4,999 pesos.
According to statistics, the devaluation of the peso during 2022 accumulates 24.81% and in the last 12 months the figure reaches 31.44%.

Since the beginning of this year the official price of the green ticket in Colombia registers a rise of almost $1,000 ($987.78).
The financial analyst Diego Rodríguez explains that the foreign exchange market has low liquidity, which means that in the face of low amounts negotiated, the prices of the currency can vary.
