The dollar closed the last week of March losing almost $100

The price of the dollar in Colombia he finished the third month of 2023 losing almost 100 pesos in the last week of March.

Although on Friday it registered a rebound in its value, the coin posted losses between March 27 and 31.

Let’s go in parts: first, during this Friday, the currency opened at 4,620 pesos and had a closing price of 4,663 pesos. During the day, the highest value recorded was 4,666.95 pesos and the lowest, 4,615 pesos.

In the end, the average trading price for the day was 4,646.19 pesos, 18.92 pesos more than the Representative Market Rate of the day, which was 4,627.27 pesos.

And second: in the weekly comparison, the dollar fell below the barrier of 4,700 pesos and it lost 95.57 and 40.64 pesos with respect to the TRM of Monday and the average trading price of that same day: 4,741.76 and 4,686.83 pesos, respectively.

According to data from the Bank of the Republic, the Colombian peso registers a devaluation so far in 2023 of -3.80%. While the figure for the last 12 months is 23.45%.
