PlayStation has released a ton of exclusives in its history; however, not all of them have gone down in history as great games. In fact, there are several that some players would rather forget, such as one that God of War Ragnarok just made canon.
God of War Ragnarok It has been on the market for 1 week now and players are already exploring the snowy regions of Midgar alongside Kratos and Atreus. It was a matter of time before fans found all the details and hidden references in the game and one of them drew a lot of attention because it confirms that the events of one of the worst received PlayStation exclusives occurred in the world of god of war and Kratos does not keep good memories of it.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale It’s canon in God of War
Without going into details of the history of God of War: Ragnarokin a part of the game exploring the world, Mimir begins an interesting conversation with Kratos in which he talks about the past of the god of war and everything he has achieved (according to what he has heard), including his participation in a singular tournament.
“But in this [historia] in particular… I heard that you fought against beasts, bandits, princesses, undead, automata, and the greatest musician ever,” Mimir commented.
In case you missed it: God of War Ragnarok is the game with the most nominations at The Game Awards 2022.

In case you missed the reference, Mimir talks about PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royalea PlayStation 3 (2012) title that PlayStation released as its attempt to Super Smash Bros.with classic characters from the brand, as well as others from franchises from external studios, such as dead space, bioshock, dmc Y tekken. Mimir specifically refers to characters like Sackboy (LittleBigPlanet), Sly (sly cooper), the Princess Plump (fat princess), to Sir Daniel (MediEvil), Big Daddy (BioShock) and PaRappa (PaRappa the Rapper).
Naturally, Kratos was one of the main characters, but apparently he is ashamed of it or does not have very fond memories of this event.
“I won’t talk about this,” Kratos replied seemingly a little embarrassed when Mimir asked him if it was true. But don’t think that Kratos is sorry because the game was bad or something like that, but because he still remembers that Sackboy beat him up, which generated ridicule, since it is a ragdoll against a destroyer of gods.
For his part, the game’s narrative director Orion Walker spoke about the line, mentioning that project writer Anthony Burch was sure these lines would be removed before the final version.
Unfortunately, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale It was so poorly received that PlayStation decided not to pick up the franchise, despite the fact that many fans would like to play a title of this style again, especially now that the company already has more characters from exclusive IPs.
Hahahaha… and @anthony_burch was soooo sure we’d cut this before launch… ? https://t.co/A99nPLjkzI
