The executive director of Polyphony Digital, Gran Turismo 7 developer Kazunori Yamauchi has acknowledged in an interview that it takes around 270 days to develop a car model for the game.
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the popular driving franchise, PlayStation exclusivethe company invited a group of media to visit its offices, where they were received by the CEO of the company.
During the tour, Yamauchi resolved some questions raised by journalists, including were those related with the car catalog available in the video game.
This has always been a common issue among players, who in the latest version of the title can drive up to 424 modelsas some feel that there should be more models available at Brand Central and the used car dealer.
In this sense, the manager commented that the developer’s resources are finite and that it takes about 270 days in creating a new model from scratch, according to The Gamer and based on information published by Japanese media.
Likewise, Yamamuchi has recognized that although the current rate of vehicle creation is 60 new cars a yearthis is not reflected in the figure achieved in the last nine months – and taking into account that the game was launched in March 2022–, since in this time only 30 vehicles have been produced.
