The CPC leadership takes steps to implement the guiding principles of the Party Congress

The Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee has called a meeting to take measures to study, publish and implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Party Congress.

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, presided over the meeting, which also deliberated on the rules for strengthening and safeguarding the centralized and unified leadership of the Party Central Committee, and the detailed rules for the implementation of the decision of eight points on work conduct.

The study, dissemination and implementation of the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress is a primary political task for the Party and the country now and for some time to come, the meeting said.

The meeting demanded a deep understanding of the critical importance of establishing both Comrade Xi Jinping’s central position in the Party Central Committee and the Party as a whole and the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New era.

Emphasis was also placed on understanding major topics such as Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the adaptation of Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times, and the Chinese path to modernization.

The meeting underlined the understanding of the strategic arrangements made by the 20th CPC National Congress to make China a modern socialist country in all respects.

The meeting stressed that the provisions and requirements established by the 20th CPC National Congress must be applied in all aspects of economic and social development. There was also an emphasis on preparation, both mentally and professionally, for all kinds of complex issues.
