The controversial jobs in the new Seine apprentice agreement: gigolo, psychic and more

At the end of 2023, the Minister of Labor, Gloria Inés Ramírezand the secretary of the board of directors of the National Learning Service (Sena), Katherine Grimaldosthey signed the agreement 10 of 2023which updates the list of trades and occupations to determine the learning quota that corresponds to each company.

This list tripled, since it was not updated since agreement 0009 of 2005for which some business sectors have been denouncing in recent years that the number of apprentices to be hired would have increased between 550% and 670%.

However, this has not been the only controversy with this new agreement, since experts affirm that the Sena, by legal provision, had to exclude from this list trades and occupations in the public sector and construction, to those who did not require methodical vocational training and to those who did not have a training offer either in the Sena or in authorized entities.

And these jobs, in addition to attracting attention, have generated concern in business sectors.
