The British Royal Family returns to normal in their official duties after ending mourning for the queen

LONDON, 27 Sep. (DPA/EP) –

The period of mourning for the death of Queen Elizabeth II ends this Tuesday, so the British Royal Family returns to perform their usual official duties.

Since the death of the British queen, the Royals have only carried out their official duties when necessary. In addition, its members have publicly dressed in black as a sign of respect.

King Carlos III made a commitment during royal mourning, by holding a telephone audience with the country’s finance minister, Kwasi Kwarteng. For their part, the Prince and Princess of Wales praised the volunteers and staff for their efforts at the events surrounding the Queen’s funeral.

British media indicate that planning for Charles’s coronation has probably begun, having set a date for the event. Coronation details are discussed privately, so very few people have been informed about the date due to the sensitivity of the material.

Queen Elizabeth II waited more than a year for her coronation ceremony, which was held on June 2, 1953, following the death of her father, King George VI, who died on February 6, 1952.
