The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation has launched this Wednesday a public invitation to the autonomous communities to present their strategic digitization projects to the Retech program, endowed with 530 million euros, until October 14.
The projects must be endorsed by at least two communities and be focused on sectors such as artificial intelligence, technology applied to industry, digital twins, ‘greentech’, cybersecurity, digital entrepreneurship and technology applied to the rural world, among others.
The Retech program (Territorial Networks of Technological Specialization) was announced in late July by the Government as a way of supporting with European funds the projects of the autonomous communities that have not had a place in the Perte. With it, up to 75% of the projects presented will be financed.
The Executive has stressed that the objective of this program is to improve the co-governance of the Recovery Plan through the articulation of regional projects aimed at digital transformation and specialization.
“Support for these projects will promote the exchange of knowledge and opportunities in each autonomous community through networks with a national impact that allow maximizing territorial balance and social cohesion”, underlined the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation.
In the call, it will be valued that the projects promote the involvement of multiple agents from the private, public sector, such as local entities and institutional agents, or the third sector.
Each autonomy may participate in a maximum of three initiatives, one per theme. The projects must have a minimum budget that guarantees their viability and impact.
