MADRID Dec. 17 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The armed wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), the Ezzeldin al Qassam Brigades, reported this Tuesday that they had blown up a ruined house in the Gaza Strip at a time when at least eleven Israeli Army soldiers were they found inside.

The eleven Israeli soldiers have died or been injured in this event, which occurred in the Jabalia refugee camp, in the extreme north of the Gaza Strip, according to the armed group in a statement reported by the Palestinian newspaper ‘Filastin’, linked to Hamas.

On the other hand, the Al Qassam brigades have assured that their militiamen have been involved in a hand-to-hand confrontation with a group of soldiers from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and that it supposedly left three Israeli soldiers dead. The Israeli Army has not commented on the matter.

This incident occurred on a day in which the Israeli Army has confirmed the death of at least two of its soldiers in the Gaza Strip after a building in the city of Rafá, located in the south of the Palestinian enclave, has collapsed on them.

Israel launched its offensive against Gaza after the Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023, which left nearly 1,200 dead and about 250 kidnapped. Since then, the Gazan authorities, controlled by Hamas, have reported the deaths of more than 45,000 Palestinians in the Strip, to which are added around 800 Palestinians killed at the hands of Israeli forces and in attacks carried out by settlers since then in West Bank and East Jerusalem.
