With the launch of the processor AMD Z1 and Z1 Extremethe manufacturer offered an ideal solution for the recent fashion of Console-format PCs that was being established. But with the launch of the new Zen 5 cores, AMD seems to also is going to update this processor throwing the AMD Z2. At least that is what has been made clear in one of the manufacturer’s shipping documents.




The document has been seen on the X/Twitter network by a well-known leaker. In addition to this code name that seems to refer to the AMD Z2 Extremeit has also been revealed that it will have a 8 core configuration (without specifying what type). In the document itself the text 8 Core appears, and it will be valid for a FP8 socket. It also appears that it will use memory of 64 bits.

AMD is not expected to release this new version until next yearwhen the manufacturer also presents the AMD Kraken which this Z2 Extreme is surely based on. Surely the PC console manufacturers are waiting for this new release to renew its modelsall except for MSI who has posted by introduce the Intel Lunar Lake in its new MSI Claw model.
