Connecting to PC

The easiest way to transfer your photos is to copy them directly from your phone to your computer via cable.

Let’s say that it is the way that we have all used the vast majority of the time.

  • First, we connect the phone to a USB port on the PC.
  • Now, on the phone, we swipe down from the top of the screen until we see the for the USB connection.
  • Click on Media Device (MTP) File Transfer.
  • Then it will open automatically Windows File Explorer in the main folder of the Android device.
  • Now we must enter the folder DCIM. From here it depends on each phone, but the normal thing is to enter Camera.

  • Then it is the moment in which we can copy, drag or cut the photos that come out to a folder that is on our computer. As simple as that.

Using Windows Photos

We can also use the Windows Photos application to import those snapshots that we have on our mobile.

It is done as follows:

  • we open the Photos application in Windows. on your PC.
  • Then we click on Matter (top right) and select the mobile that we have connected to the computer.
  • The application generates all the photos from the device.
  • Now we mark those that we want to pass and if we want them all, click on Select all.
Windows Photos
  • we give in Add.
  • Next, it will ask us to know where we want to add them, being able to include them in the cloud if it is activated, in an already created mask or in one that we can make new at this time.
  • Then we give in Matter and we will have all the photos in the place we wanted.

Using Google Photos

We have at our disposal Google Photos to achieve the same thing that we have done in the previous cases.

Let’s see what steps to follow:

  • We open the application Google Photos on our android.
  • We touch on the icon of our profile and then we make sure that the option Backup is active. If not, we must activate it.
  • We need to make sure that we have enough space in your Google cloud storage to save all your photos.
  • Once the backup is complete, we go to our computer and go to the Google Photos website and we log in with the same account that we have on the phone.
  • Now we select those that we want to save on the computer. If we want to save them all, we press the first photo, hold down the Shift key and then select the last photo. Thus they will all be automatically selected.
  • We click on the three dots icon in the upper right corner and select Download.
  • The photos will be saved to the default download folder as a ZIP file.

Using Microsoft OneDrive

Another service that can be used to download mobile photos is Microsoft OneDrive.

It’s that easy to do:

  • We open the application on the mobile and log in with our Microsoft account.
  • We press on Photos on the bottom.
  • We tap on the option load camera and then in Activate.
OneDrive photo sync
  • If we install the OneDrive app on Windows and use the same mobile account, they will be synchronized and a folder will be created in which everything is shared, that is, both the mobile and what we put on the PC.
  • This means that the photos that we have synchronized will appear in this folder and we can now copy, drag or cut wherever we want from the internal storage of the computer.

Mobile Link also works for us

The Enlace Móvil application that comes in Windows 11 and that we also have in Android terminals, either as standard or to download from the Google Play Store, will help us for our task today.

We must do the following:

  • The first thing to do is link the Android mobile with the Windows Mobile Link app.
  • After linking the phone, we select the option Photos in the Phone Link application on our PC, and then see all the photos on the phone.
  • Right-click on a photo you want to download and select Save as.

The downside of Phone Link is that there is no way to select and download multiple photos to your PC in one go. This means that this tool is most useful for downloading just a few photos.
