It’s only been a week AMD has put up for sale its new Ryzen 7000X3D Series processorsthe new generation with cores Zen 4 together with second generation of 3D V-Cache technology. In this new generation, not only has more cache memory been added to AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors, but it also brings some news like higher bandwidth than the previous generation with the Ryzen 7 5800X3D.

The new AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D and Ryzen 9 7900X3D processors that have this new generation of cache memory stacked on top of the CCDs have a bandwidth greater than 2.5 TB/s compared to 2 TB/s of the previous generation. In addition, it is manufactured with a 7 nm process to which the size has been reduced to place it on top of the CCD manufactured at 5 nm, leaving higher transistor density of 130.6 million per mm2.




Data is also known about I/O chips of these new 7000 series processors and have been compared to the AMD EPYC Genoa. The Genoa I/O chip is much larger compared to the Ryzen 7000, offering the possibility to connect up to 12 CCDs compared to 2 that desktop processors support.
