The official population of Thailand exceeded 66 million inhabitants in 2022with Bangkok being the most populous with over 5 million residents.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, of Thailand’s 66.09 million people, 65.1 million are Thai citizens and some 984,000 are foreigners. This information was published by the Center’s Registry Office.
Of the total number of Thais, 33.3 million are women, while 31.7 million are men. Among non-Thais, some 515,600 are men and 468,000 are women.
The capital, Bangkok, remains the most populated area, with almost 5.5 million registered residents.
