Different Thai leaders, such as the Prime Minister, Prayuth Chan Ocha, as well as King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Consort Soamsawali Kitiyakara, have attended this Friday to honor the relatives of the victims who have died in the Na Klang nursery massacre , in the province of Nong Bua Lamphu.
General Prayut has placed a bouquet of flowers in front of the door of the nursery, where the tragedy occurred on Thursday, in which 35 people died, including 24 children, at the hands of a former member of the Police who acted in retaliation for his expulsion from the police force in June this year.
After that, the Thai prime minister and several members of his cabinet also visited the Uthai Sawan Tambon Administrative Organization, where some of the victims’ relatives met, according to the newspaper ‘The Nation’.
For his part, the king of Thailand, as well as the queen consort, have visited the injured in two of the hospitals in the region, while offering their condolences to the relatives of those who still remain in serious condition, according to picked up by the newspaper ‘Daily News’.
The person responsible for the shooting, a 34-year-old man identified as Pol Panya, fled after the massacre and went to his home, where he killed his wife and one of his three children before committing suicide, which would place the total balance at 38 dead.
This is the worst mass shooting experienced in Thailand since in February 2020, a soldier opened fire inside a shopping center in the city of Nakhon Ratchasima (center) and killed 29 people and wounded 58 others before the Police could bring him down
