The People’s Committee of Thai Binh Province and the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan held a conference in Tokyo on April 21 to invite Japanese investment in the northern Vietnamese town.
Addressing more than 100 representatives of Japanese organizations and companies, Thai Binh People’s Committee Vice President Lai Van Hoan introduced the strengths of his province, such as its favorable geographical location, abundant labor force, large land reserve for industrial development and one of the highest growth rates in Vietnam.
He noted that Japanese companies are strong in the fields that Thai Binh prioritizes, such as supporting industries, electronics, manufacturing, tourism, high-tech agriculture and pharmaceutical production.
For this reason, it keeps and will always keep its doors open to Japanese investors, since it greatly trusts and values their investment, scientific and technological capacities, as well as their productive and business efficiency, the official continued.
Nguyen Duc Minh, Chargé d’Affaires ai of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, stated that the flow of Japanese investment in Vietnam has contributed substantially to local socio-economic development oriented towards sustainability.
