COURSE OBJECTIVES

BACKGROUND
Territorial development is a complex and dynamic process that requires systemic, collaborative, and comprehensive approaches in order to generate changes that have an impact on the economic, social, and environmental spheres, and thus allow for sustainable development with equality. Foresight is a discipline that has wide and valuable applications both at the national, sectoral and territorial level, which can guide territorial planning. However, it requires a change in the traditional ways of approaching public management and the relationship between the State and the community.
COURSE METHODOLOGY
The course is developed virtually through the online platform of ILPES ECLAC. The course methodology is based on carrying out a set of learning activities organized into weekly modules that include readings, interactive online activities, carrying out applied tasks and participating in group activities.
The course participants will be organized into groups, according to criteria such as nationality or areas of work performance, each group will have a designated tutor, who will be in charge of guiding the development of the course activities, as well as responding to to the queries that are generated throughout each week.
Each participant will be able to organize the time dedicated to the course according to their own availability, except for synchronous sessions that have a designated date and time from the beginning of the course. In each module, evaluation and feedback activities are considered, which may consist of tasks (individual or group).

This marks the beginning of the selection process of the candidacies that will be received until the August 15, 2023. Information received after this date will not be considered in the selection process. Between the days August 16 and 17, 2023Confirmation of acceptance to the course by the selection committee will be sent via email to those who have been selected. People who have received this email must confirm their participation in the course before August 18, 2023.
