The Lebanese authorities have reported that the toll of victims from the attacks carried out this Sunday by the Israeli Army on the center of its capital, Beirut, including the one that killed the spokesman and three leaders of the Shiite militia party Hezbollah, has increased. ten dead and 45 injured.

The Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Health has announced in a statement that the bombing by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on the headquarters of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, located in the Ras al Nabaa neighborhood, where the official spokesperson for the Shiite group, Muhammad Afif, and three other leaders, has finally recorded seven deaths and 16 injuries.

Likewise, the organization has confirmed that three people have died, including a woman, and 29 have been injured in the attack by Israeli forces on the Mar Elias neighborhood, also carried out during the day on Sunday.

Lebanese authorities reported this Monday that more than 3,500 people have died and another nearly 15,000 have been injured by attacks by Israeli troops as part of their offensive against Hezbollah over the last year.

The Israeli Army unleashed a new invasion of Lebanon on October 1 after several weeks of intense bombings and attacks against the country, including the coordinated explosion of thousands of ‘pagers’ and ‘walkie-talkies’ linked to the Lebanese party-militia, after more than eleven months of fighting with Hezbollah in the border area.

The resurgence in hostilities is part of the clashes that began more than a year ago, after Hezbollah attacked Israeli territory a day after the Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023, which led Israel to unleash a bloody offensive against the Gaza Strip, where more than 43,900 people have already died.
