Dynapsisa benchmark in digital transformation of the comprehensive water cycle and environmental health of cities, and IdenCitya consulting company specialized in transformation processes of cities and territories, collaborate to digitize the knowledge and performance management of cities and territories in Spain.
The integration of IDDIGO, from Idencity, with the Urban Agenda solution from DINAPSIS, makes it possible to provide a single digital solution that provides both data on the behavior of cities (can reach up to more than 2,000 indicators per city) and value-added functionalities that facilitate the monitoring, evaluation, management and decision-making on the future of cities in Spain.
In the age of information, digitization and communication, two trends are becoming increasingly evident, closely related, but moving in the opposite direction. On one side, the generation of large amounts of data in multiple areas related to the management and operation of urban systems (economic, social, environmental, political, demographic, among others) whose processing and analysis can help not only to better understand the nature, depth and characteristics of the phenomena that take place in cities and territories, but also to treat them more efficient and strategic; and, on the other hand, the dispersion, destructuring and disorganization in which it is stored bliss amount huge amount of dataconsiderably reducing its potential to become useful knowledge for decision making.
In that context, IdenCity combines efforts and capabilities with Dinapsis, promoted by Agbar, to provide cities with both structured indicator systems, based on primary and secondary information sources, as well as digital tools to process data and operate with them, optimizing and qualifying decision-making and public management processes. This is possible thanks to the incorporation of IDDIGO in the Dinapsis Urban Agenda service.
IDDIGO is a technological platform in the Cloud that stores and manages performance indicators of cities and territories. Its application offers a broader and deeper overview of territorial dynamics that facilitates informed, precise decision-making, with the potential to increase resilience, sustainability, efficiency, inclusion and, ultimately, the quality of life in municipalities of Spain.
The expert knowledge of Dinapsis and Idencity, together with the use of these technologies, will facilitate the data analysis and processing to maintain a system of more than 2,000 standardized and updated indicators in thirteen thematic areas that allow monitoring the behavior of cities from the economic, environmental and social point of view.
The digitization of urban knowledge facilitated by these tools allows, not only observe the behavior of cities through the various indicators that analyze them in a systematic and homogeneous way, facilitating the comparability of their results, but also provide solutions and functionalities that make it possible to operate with said indicators to, for example, build dashboards and action plans of the Spanish Urban Agenda, carry out benchmarking exercises, analyze budgets and their contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals, simulate scenarios or predict the behavior of certain phenomena, through the application of artificial intelligence algorithms.
Thanks to this collaboration, Dinapsis and IdenCity will expand their capacity to contribute to the digitization and monitoring of the Urban Agenda in cities, through action monitoring indicators.
