If you want to enjoy your series or movies on an extra-large screen, the standard says that you must buy a tv that lives up to your expectations, although you can also go to the movies, of course. TCL has a different proposition. And it does not contemplate a screen.
The Asian manufacturer has presented glasses called NXTWear S that promise to offer a display equivalent to a 130-inch screen. According to TCLthis is not a virtual or augmented reality device, but one in a different category.

The crowdfunding project that became a commercial product
We are not talking about a concept or a product that is not going to be able to be bought. The NXTWear S has already exceeded its crowdfunding stage on Indiegogo where they received the support of more than 1,400 sponsors that allowed the idea to go to the next level. Now they are ready for your first foray into the market.
But… what does this device offer? The manufacturer says the glasses are equipped with two Sony Micro-LED screens capable of delivering 1920×1080 2D resolution. This capacity, together with its 45-degree viewing angle, allows you to “project” a 130-inch screen anywhere, even while moving.
This device boasts dual speakers capable of providing stereo sound that can be adjusted from a integrated side dial. In addition, it has a noise reduction system that promises to be effective in noisy environments and another sound leakage system so as not to disturb those around the user.
At the design level, the NXTWear S adopts the spirit of traditional glasses thanks to the removable front. However, they look bulky, and the size of the sideburns really does not go unnoticed. Of course, TCL says that they only weigh 82 gramsa feature that can be caused by the absence of an integrated battery.
TCL glasses have been designed to always work connected via a USB-C cable to a computer, mobile device or game console. Of course, in the case of the latter, users must separately purchase an HDMI to USB-C adapter to be able to use them.
Price and availability of the TCL NXTWear S
The new TCL NXTWear S will be available sometime this quarter in the US for $399. But that is not all. The company has confirmed to us at CES that they will reach the European market at a price of 429 euros.
It is time to wait, however, for the deployment date on the Old Continent and if they will finally end up being sold in Spain. We will update this article when we have more information.
