Fernández, 78, a native of Mexico City and also known as the “lady of good saying”, was a journalist, producer and television presenter.

The National Association of Interpreters (ANDI) mourned his death. “We send our deepest condolences to his family and friends,” the organization wrote on its social networks.

One of the moments that marked Fernández’s career was in 1994 when he announced the death of the then presidential candidate Luis Donaldo Colosio.
