Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II debuted at the end of October and has already become one of the most successful installments in the history of the war franchise. If it catches your eye but you never dared to give it a try, we bring you excellent news. We say this because you can play the multiplayer mode totally free for a limited time.
Through a post on his official blog, Activision confirmed that the military shooter will hold a new free trial period this week. This means that players will be able to access and compete in some maps and game modes of the multiplayer component. As often happens, there are some limitations.

How to download Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II for free?
Players who access the limited time trial period will only be able to compete on 6 multiplayer maps: Mercado Las Almas, Dome, Shipment, Farm 18 and Himmelmatt Expo. It is worth noting that the latter is a totally new scenario that comes to CoD: Modern Warfare 2 as part of Season 2 Reloaded, which will debut on March 15 with many new features.
As far as competitive modes are concerned, there will be 8 available: Team Battle, Hot Spot, Dominion, Kill Confirmed, Gun Game, Infected, One in the Chamber, and All or Nothing. There will also be the Ground War and Invasion mode, which allow massive games with many players.
Finally, the free trial period will give access to a Special Operations Raid, the cooperative mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
If it caught your attention, you should know that the free trial will start on March 16 and will remain open until March 20. This means that you will have approximately 4 days to enjoy the multiplayer component of Activision’s successful FPS. Of course, the statement does not indicate if your progress will be transferred to the full version if you decide to buy the title.
