The Taiwanese authorities have reported on Thursday the deployment of a total of 39 aircraft and 3 Chinese warships on the island’s coasts.
“39 Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLAN) aircraft and 3 warships have been detected around Taiwan at 06:00 (local time) today,” Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense said on its official Twitter account. .
Of the total number of military aircraft detected, 30 of them have crossed the Taiwan Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) in the southwest and southeast of the strait, according to the Taiwanese authorities.
Taiwan’s military forces (ROCA) have dispatched patrol air, sea and ground missile systems to respond to the situation.
